Fibre Broadband (FTTC/VDSL2)
Our new Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) based broadband services offer download speeds of up to 40Mbps and upload speeds of up to 10Mbps.
Is your Broadband service too slow?
Fibre broadband offers a big increase in speeds compared to older broadband products. Where speeds were predominantly determined by the length of your telephone line from the exchange, Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) replaces most of this distance with a fibre connection to the street cabinet you connect to. The much shorter distance from your premesis to your local street cabinet is connectied using new VDSL2 technology to allow you to connect at very high speeds.

Installation
Installation of Fibre broadband services is performed by a BT engineer.
The engineer will arrange an appointment with you on the day of installation. If you have an existing ADSL broadband service on the line, you will be able to continue to use the service until the engineer begins the transfer at the appointed time.
Hardware
During the installation, the engineer will install a new faceplate to your master socket for the new service. The engineer will also install a VDSL modem, to which you will be required to connect a PPPoE enabled router.
Firenet FTTC based Broadband services are subject to a minimum 12 month contract.
* FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) products require a deposit equal to two months rental, in addition to the setup and first monthly installment. This deposit is held on the account until the service is cancelled, at which point it will be returned to the customer upon request, after the contractual period has been fulfilled. Alternatively, it can be credited against months 13 and 14 invoices.

Fibre Broadband or ADSL2+ Broadband
We now provide fibre broadband with speeds of up to 40meg in areas that now support it. In other areas, we provide WBC ADSL Broadband services with download speeds of up to 24meg, where available. If WBC ADSL is not available in your exchange, your order will be placed on our excellent ADSL Max (up to 8meg) platform.
