Dial Up Configuration - Windows 7
When setting up a dial up connection please ensure that you have a 56k dial up modem and it is connected directly into your phone socket.
Click on 'Start' and select 'Control Panel'.
Within the control panel, select 'All Control Panel Items'.
Your menu is now listed in full, select 'Network and Sharing Centre'.
As shown below, click on 'Set Up a new connection or network'.
Select 'Connect to the Internet'.
Choose 'Dial-Up'.
Through the next following steps you will be asked for the following:
- Dial-up name: Description name, for example: My Firenet.
- Dial-up number: Depending on your dial-up service. Example 0845 604 30 20.
- Dial-up username: Depending on your dial-up service. Example dial, frn9999@firenet.uk.com
- Dial-up password: This will depend upon your dial-up service. Please contact us if you are in doubt.
- Select 'Automatically Detect Settings' and save your new connection as default.
- The process is now complete.
